Looking for new tires?

The Conti touring all season tires were finally worn out at 22k mi. I was looking for some good summer tires at a reasonable price and came across the Firestone Firehawk Oval in Tirerack.com. I was a little hesitant in using Firestone tires due to some bad experiences with this brand some years ago. But the reviews are good and the close out price is incredible ($87), I decided to give them a try. I have them installed shipped and installed locally; now after 600 miles, these are really good tires -- excellent traction, great handling, quiet and very stable at highway speed. They handle way better and have more traction than the original Conti Touring. I was so impressed with them and ordered another set for my friend's E500. Since my car never sees snow through out the year, I'll only use summer tires from now on because they just simply handle way better than the all season tires.

Michelin PS2's since the OEM Conti's ran out. Never switching from the PS2 regardless of cost. Just an amazing tire.

I use Bridgestone Turanza. IMO Bridgestone provides the best balance of quality and price. Have always had them on all the cars in the family.

I installed Toyo (H rated) on my E320, 19K ago. Quiet tire, reasonably priced, and good wearing. I rotate and speed balance every 7K miles. Still look new with deep tread 8/32"
