How can I tell if I have regular halogen or Bi-Xenon Headlights?

Oy vey!
Apparently you two do not notice the sarcasm in both our statements. See the big-toothed smilie and the slap smilie? That means we are playing around. Nobody is seriously considering putting these stickers on to fool someone else into thinking they have xenons (I am assuming for Sgooter here, but pretty sure we are on the same page.)

I am looking at this car. It has the AMG sports package, which I have read comes with xenon. But also I believe that xenon is indicated by the headlamp washers on pre-2007 models. This car does not not have the washers in the bumper: http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.js...standard=false
Is/was it possible to order xenon as a standalone option (without requiring headlight washers), or was the post about sports package including xenon incorrect and this car does not have xenon?

Wow this one's old... but here is your answer.
From the outside there's really no way to tell. You have to open the hood, feel around the bottom of the headlamp and if you feel a ballast there, its xenon, if you just feel the back of the lamp then you have halogen.
The ballast is the small thin square metal object that plugs into the bottom.

or if you're looking at the car in person, turn the damn headlights on and see if they're either yellowish or bluish/white! I can't imagine it's THIS hard to tell...my car has halogens and it's quite apparent the difference between them and xenons...

The easiest way to tell is to run it through epcnet or one of those russian vin decoder sites. If you have bi-xenons, it will be mentioned in the datacard. The bixenons were way more expensive than halogens so if you have them, I wouldn't bother replacing them, you could put in new bulbs as they do get a little dimmer over time.

I find it interesting that in 2015 this topic on Xeon lights lives on!! The High voltage stickers are not for show and have been around for a while (Xenon's are in my '97 W140)
