Where to buy Single/double tips for E500?

I had planned to buy E55 mufflers with tips and cut my rear bumper to fit. Now, I've decided to keep the OEM E500 mufflers and simply weld on some nice tips and trim the lower bumper to fit. Who sells nice tips(single or double) for this type of application?

Thanks,
Todd

One option is formymercedes.com

Personally, I have been gunshy on pulling the trigger on this purchaseb/c of the cost. $325 for quad tips & $275 for dual tips are just too expensive for a couple of metal cylinders.

Does anyone know of another vendor that sells these parts?

How come you changed your mind on getting E55 mufflers?

They'll REALLY change the look of your car.

IMO they'll look better than just about anything else out there. When you consider that for the additional cost you're getting a full set of AMG mufflers (rather than just metal cylinders) they're well worth the investment.

Here's what they look like on my E500:

I've been looking for the E55 muffler for the last 2 months with no luck. If someone has one for sale, let me know. I'd prefer to do this the right way but, not having a lot of luck finding the needed muffler.

Thanks,
Todd

Please don't buy those tips from formymercedes.com. They are cheap eBay tips

Don't give up looking!

Take your time, you'll be much happier doing it right from the start.

After installing tips you won't be 100% satisfied, and will end up continuing to look and then incur the double expense once you find the AMG mufflers...

Do a search on "Magnaflow exhaust" in this forums (W211), and you'll find a few folks have used Magnaflow tips and mufflers on their cars. I ordered the tips as well but never installed them, since I installed the mufflers first to see if I like the sound (which I didn't). The tips are good quality and not too expensive (I paid $55 dollars I think) for one.
