Mount front license plate without bending?

Just got a 07 E550 to replace my E500 and can't seems to find any solution after tried the search function, anybody knows or have any idea to mount the front plate on the 07+ W211 without having bend the front plate?

It has the OEM black front license plate bracket which is contoured to the pointed 07+ bumper.

Thx

What's wrong with bending the plate? That's the way they fit on these cars.

Just imagine it as being more aerodynamic

The front of your car comes to a point. So must your plate and license plate frame if you use one.

Use a shim to fill the space behind the plate where it would otherwise have bent to fit.

(I just bent mine... I think it looks better)

MB sells a pre-bent license plate frame. It really finishes off the look of the front bumper. Comes in polished-stainless or blk powder-coated. Very nice product.

E550 2011 front license bracket

I'm an SC to CO transplant and now need a front plate. I purchased the front license bracket online (Kansas City dealer) and I am not sure where to mount it. It seems like it will attach to the grill without making any holes in the bumper. Has anyone else done this?

Guessing that since the "new" car was originally titled in a 1-plate State, the dealer-prep didn't require drilling the bumper for a plate that didn't exist.
Call your local dealer and advise them of your predicament. Possible that they may drill it out for you to allow mounting of the front plate.

I had the same problem. I bought a stainless steel plate with the Mercedes logo on it and there was no way that I was going to bend that plate. The dealership sells an adapter kit which was only $5. Basically its 4 pieces of rubber that fills in the gap between the plate and the frame. It works perfectly.
