My E320 CDI finally is here(added pics)

After six months waiting, yesterday took delivery of my car.
The dealer was right when he told me the car was to be assembled between 8th and 10th of April. 11 th got transport to Spain. 14th arrived at the dealer, 15th was registered and 16th I was driving the car.
What can I say about this GREAT car that hasn´t been said yet here in the forum?
The interior looks great, the dealer said was the first Pacific Blue he had seen (Of course me too). When I take photos will post them.
This diesel is so smooth, much more than the 270CDI I test drove before ordering the car.
I was worried about the comments of Caprese about the lowered height sport suspension of the Avantgarde. Only drove the car 82 km yesterday, but I did´t notice it uncomfortable at all. Think it will be perfect for me.
I have a problem with the Nokia Interface. They sold me the option saying my old Nokia 5110 would fit and operate. No way, the phone doesn´t fit. I have already the solution: A friend will sell me his 6210 at a very good price.

Re: My E320 CDI finally is here !

Congrats on your purchase. Unfortunately we don't see many diesels this side of the Atlantic. Although, I have heard rumors of the v8 E400 arriving on US shores some time next year.

Keep us posted on the performance of your new E. It would be interesting to see how much mileage you get after the break-in period is over.

According to Car and Driver, the U.S. will be receiving the E320 Diesel in 2004. There has also been talk about the E400 diesel, but I find it unlikely that MB will bring two diesel models of the same class to the US.

I would like to hear more about your E320, claimed 0-60 MPH times, MPG, etc.

Looking forward to the pics.

Thanks

congrats.....

first of all congrats on your car
and secondly how would you compare the E270 cdi with the E320 cdi. i am interested in the E320 cdi but i read a review of the E320 cdi (cant remeber the mag name) but they said that they prefer the E270 cdi to the E320 cdi as it wasnt as refined. what do you think? which 1 is better? thanks

I haven´t yet photos of Pacific Blue, but anyway, photos won´t make justice to the nice combination whith the black wood.

Depends much on the lightning conditions, how this color is seen.

I have touched the gamma of this brochure pic of Avantgarde in Pacific Blue to show how I see it.

Comparing the 270 to the 320 cdi is not easy for me. 'Cause test drove the 270 six months ago ant now I´m in the break-in period of my new car. Only can tell the smoothness of the six-inline.

The SBC Stop is a great feature. Very easy to use and helpfull in urban driving.

To the day, I haven't read a page of the owner's manual and I´m familiar with all the electronics it has. Very easy and intuitive to use it all.

The problem I had with the Nokia interface is now solved. the standard battery in the 5110 was the problem. I fitted in the 5110 the 6210´s slim battery and it worked fine. Now I have a 6210.

See you on the ´net.

I want an E320 or E400 CDI on this side of the Atlantic soon please!

Anyone hear anymore news about them. How will the E320 CDI run on our crappy diesel here?

Mercedes has already announced that it will be bringing the E320 CDI to the US as a '04 model. Im hoping for the E400, but its doubtful that MB will bring two diesel engines for the same model, one can always hope though....

Now the standard APS 20 Audio has a CD slot instead of the cassette slot shown in the picture.

Congrats on the new ride.

The interior looks good ,can't wait to see a Pacific Blue interior in real life.

Very rare indeed!
