Possible convert - BMW to E Class
With the new 5 looking like a wedge shaped doorstop, I have been looking over the fence at the E. Will probably opt for Obsidian Black with Black int. But can't decide between double 5 spoke alloys or the thicker 5 spoke which seems to be standard on the US sport version. Any Pics?

Personally, I believe that the new 5-series is not getting a fair assessment of its looks. One really cannot judge a car by its pics. Certainly, an E looks a million times better in person. Hell, I am now considering a new 540 after the whole MB Nav fiasco.
Having said that, the new E is pure refinement in motion.
As for the choice of alloys, my personal favorites are the 5-spoke 18s that come on the new E55 AMG. They are now available for order at most dealers.

As far as wheels go, I really like the design of the 17" 5-spoke Sport Package wheels, but to me the 17s look too small on the car. I personally think it looks best with the 18" thin 5-spoke AMGs or the 18" 5 double-spoke AMGs from the E55. There's a guy here with 19" AMGs that look incredible, but I'd bend rims and lose tires on a daily basis from Dallas potholes if I had 19s. You can't go wrong with any of them.

I really like the E55 double spokes... people seem to make a big deal about the sport version of the E500 5 spoke, but I just think there's nothing special about those... I almost like the standard double spoke more...

No ScreaminVQ, actually the airmatic suspension must have a mind of its own. Thanks anyway for the compliment.
