Is this a possible diy project at all?

Please provide more details as how should one going about doing this, ie, prices of parts or labor of time, etc., any problems encounter or arise when doing this transformation....IF you can provide more info as how to start would be very helpful to others who are looking at this project!!

yeah i agree with maddic i was trying to access the russian site you had posted but it required registration with a russian phone number... if you could possibly make a sticky with some info such as prices star procedures and parts all listed by number i personally would appreciate it very very much and so would a lot of people. I know its a bit of work but if possible it would be nice... Thanks Mike

Ok people,I have already listed the part numbers on E55 section(the link above) and I posted pictures from russian site also. That is ALL parts you need. The swap itself as easy as changing shocks and springs, the only complicated part is star coding, but unfortunately, I am not very familiar with star coding procedure, so I can not provide you with exact instruction of how to do it, I can only point you to the right direction.
The price of actual swap is just the price of coilovers (1000$ in my case) , and little parts such as guides and shims (about 200 $), and labor was 200$ (in Russia). I hope it helps.
