Recommend Code Reader and with CEL Reset?

Recommend Code Reader and with CEL Reset?
I've read lots of posts here about fault code readers. I'm not looking for something sophisticated, just something cheap enough to read the codes and that can reset the check engine light.

Thanks for the input!

For a cheapy, you can just get one at Walmart. I upgraded to Autoenginuity becauseIi wanted to read many of the MB unique parameters, but the cheap units are fine for the standard codes.

Be sure you understand the concept of "reset."

Reset doesn't happen until the problem is fixed.

The cheapies do allow a reset, but as lkchris said, the light will come back if the fault has not been cured.

OMG, thanks so much for the insight...I thought re-setting CEL would immediately fix my car without actually being repaired! Wow, I really appreciate your "concept" and setting me straight.

hey guys,

do you guys know what brand or manufacture of the scanner that can read 05 E500? I have tried a couple scanner from $100-300 and none of them scanned my car. I appreciate your help and any links to buy it..
