'07-'09 Out of Warranty Ownership
I got rid of my '06 E3504matic because I didn't trust it to hold up over the long haul without potentially breaking the bank. Not sure if that was valid but the belief system is that the facelifted W211 are more reliable. So I am interested in how people who own them feel about them. I miss my Mercedes but when you consider the reason my dad bought one 50 years ago because they were better built than anything on the road I absolutely will not own one if people have so little confidence in them that they wouldn't dare own them out of warranty.

So far my 08 E550 has been rock solid .. at around 35k miles now. I bought the MB Care extended warranty, so the car is covered for 7yrs/100k miles. At the end of that period, I'll decide. For now, LOVE my car .. no other midsized luxury sedan I'd rather be in.

My "07 E550 has been in for an airmatic pump, but my aftermarket warranty covered it. I come from the Audi world, so I wouldn't own any German car without a warranty. It's better to be safe than sorry. With that said, My C32 and E550 have been pretty darn solid as far as maintenance.
