1157 BAY15D LED Canbus turn signals

I ordered some of these online

These are 360 degree SMD amber turn signals with build in CANBUS load resistors to prevent hyperflashing. 16 LED's in total.

Problem is they aren't flashing at all. I remember another member trying to do this a while back and he could not get his to work either. I think I know why...

LED bulbs are polarized and if they aren't put in right they won't work at all. Since filament bulbs aren't it doesn't matter how they go into the connector housing. I suspect these are inserted wrong into the bottom housing and are not the right polarity.

Now I think the only solution for me is to switch the green turn signal wire with the ground to reverse the polarity. Either that or I can try and get my supplier to ship me the bulbs again in reverse polarity.

Has anyone ever tried to play around with the headlamp wiring harnesses? The connector is the one most top of the headlamp assy, there is a green wire to the right which is +, the rest are white in appearance. I am going to continue my research on these but it looks like swapping the wires is the only way to do it.

It fits the stock plug perfectly fine, no problems at all. I strongly believe it may be polarity.

I have been wanting to do the same thing but did not get a change yet. I noticed on the picture above, your bulbs have 2 electrical contacts which are commonly used for tail/brake lights. I believe w211 has only a single electrical contact which is in the center. This may be the problem because these 2 contact bulbs aren't not hitting the original contact. Just a thought.
By the way, please post the update I want to see how those turn out.

That may have changed during the 2007 refresh. My 2003 uses 2357 or 1157 the dual contact bottoms. My normal bulbs in now are 1157's I can try to see if a 1156 bulb would work.I am waiting to hear back from my supplier.

I believe I've figured it out. I've always wondered why Mercedes would use a dual contact lamp for their turn signal if the blinkers only have one operation. The dual contact bulbs are usually for turn signals that double as parking lights.

I need someone to confirm that the 07-09 refresh uses 1156 bulbs. Then I think I might be able to find a solution.

I have the same problem and it is not an 1156 vs 1157 issue. With the bulb in the holder and power applied to the appropriate terminals on the bulb holder, the light lights up so it is making proper contact. The issue is something is not right with the CANBUS eliminator. The car sees it as a milling bulb and turns it off.
