Is just that fast?!? Pulled up to a red light in my 2007 e63 and this guy wanted to race in his fully loaded model 3 Tesla . Now as soon as the light turned green he was gone. But i was a little late on the gas because I was not expecting the light to turn green that fast. Has anyone ever raced a model 3? Does the my car have a chance against one or no

Yep, Tesla Model 3 0-60 is 3.2 seconds according to Tesla. 2007 E63 is listed at 4.4 seconds. If you took a half second to get on the gas, he probably beat you by more than a couple seconds. Your only chance would have been to get a rolling start and beat him by a little getting to the light. Even has you beat at the quarter mile, 11.7-11.8 seconds vs 12.7 for your E63. About the only advantage of the E63 in speed is being able to do the cannonball in record time. Tesla would take too long to charge the batteries.

Yeah, that's the problem or advantage of electric motors, instant torque. You need to spend a lot more money to get a car that can beat a model 3. Here's a list: If it was a regular Model 3, then maybe you still have a chance.
