Hello All,

I am wondering if anyone here knows where in the Star Diagnostics one can find the setting to activate the “self Closing” of the sunroof if you leave it open after you park it. I know this is a feature in the European W211s my friend’s 2002 E220 CDI does it. My 04 E320 is getting services now and the head mechanic at the dealer said he would be happy to change the setting to the Euro spec, but he can not find it in the SD menu.

Any help would be nice!

W211 for USA, you can close the s/r after turn off the engine by stand by the driver side door, hold the close button on your car key, the s/r will close without restarting the car. I am not aware of this " self closing " feature. It may have in Europe or other markets, but not for North America (USA) market.

Thanks for the info. I do use the remote window closing and opening feature every once in a while. I am asking about having the sun roof close itself after something like 4 hours of having the car parked or (if you leave the rain sensor “on” on the wiper control when you lock the doors) the car will close all the windows and sun room automatically if it detects rain. This has happened to me when I was washing the windshield on my friend’s E220 at a gas station. I liked that feature.

I enabled the "close sunroof when it begins to rain" on my car with my SDS. There are several settings that need to be changed.
