I want to buy this! but instructions are kind of confusing still to me... I do not want to pay a shop $200 since it looks straight forward. I dunno which wires to tape into?

p.s. I like the remote key one better.....better deal on that?

Yes please clairify, I believe this only works for those cars (ie non US cars) that have DVD playback

You can try to play DVD in parked and if it works, you do have play back. If it doesn't play, you can go to the dealer and ask to update your firmware.

This is not hard to install at all. First thing is to fine CAN bus which is located on the side of driver seat. On the installation manual look at step 5, look for can bus with brown wires.

Power line (+12V and ground wire):
There are two cables which you need to tap:
"RED wire with WHITE STRIPE (+12V) and BROWN wire (GROUND)" there is a picture on the installation manual step 8.

When you insert the cable to the CAN bus you must take out the plastic braket first which is at the opposite side of the wire. There is a video clip that shows how to put that on on the installation manual.

The remote key is not on sale however we can provide free shipping. The installation step is about the same as Smart TV.

If you are not comfortable doing the installation, I would recommend having it done at any audio shop. If they charge you over $100, thats too much.

I just bought this for my 2003 w211 with a euro comand but had a ? since for step 8 I do not have a redwire with white strip. can it be tapped to any +12V wire?
