hey guys i have a w211 2003 and my rear defroster is not working, i live in Chicago and the winters are brutal, usually when i turned on the defroster you can see it working within a min. i have checked the 40amp fuse in the trunk and its not blown, when i push the button the button seems to work... im in need of desperate help, i refuse to take it to the dealership any help would be greatly appreciated.....

do you have tint on the rear window? if you do the most likely cause is that the tint installers cut through the heating element on the window. and you will need a rear window.

if you have no tint it might need a rear SAM.
