E-Class (W211) 2003-2009

Has anyone removed their face-plates on their cluster?

Has anyone removed their face-plates on their cluster?

i have some super custom ones to put on my car but dont want break anything to install them

Looking at ALLDATAdiy.com there are only a few hooks holding it in there.

Don't forget to unplug the connector when pulling it out.

if its unplug the plugs will anything go wrong?

04 CLK 320 > CLK32K
I recently took out my cluster to replace the bezel. There are 2 hooks that MB uses to take it out. When I get home, I could get you the part # and instruction to remove the cluster.

Never mind, it looks like I have the info here. These are the hooks, they are available through parts.com for $12.65. Part # (140589023300).





Below are the instruction for the W203/W209. The W211 shouldn't be too different.

You do not need hooks to remove 211 IC and no problems caused by disconnecting electrical connection, check your email.

Worked out great guys... i will post pictures soon. It was a piece of cake. i didnt even have to remove the plugs and it was simpy 4 screws to remove it.
