CLS is also the more expensive car .. I would assume it can have better features and options as well.

The 4 door coupe thing is a bit played out. I think the w211 will age better

i kind of think w211 lowered with nice rims looks better than cls.
and comparing e350 vs cls350...
cls is little bit more expensive, i hope it is better quality as well....

If its between E350 and CLS350......get the E-Class....

I have E-Class lowered on OEM wheels. I get lots of compliments on them. You don't need wheels...as long you keep the car even in winter

Prefer the E, the CLS seems a little overwrought. E has bigger cabin too. Perfection, however is the new S...

I think the E is the more general purpose car.. if you don't care about 5 passengers and room in the trunk than go for the CLS. Otherwise mechanically they are very close, and on the interior only a few extra touches with double stitching on the dash really stand out as what they made nicer than the E.

If you are looking at the older models (2011< ) I like the CLS, but I think I like the new E better than the 2012 body CLS.

i am talking about 2006-2007 models...for some reason Europian cars in Australia are 3 times more expensive than in US or UK

I got the E class when I started looking for a 4 door benz.

I actually should have gone for the CLS - 2 years ago. I have had a maximum of 4 passengers in the last 2 years- parents and wife. And never had any issues with the luggage - space.

Infact I daily drive the GTO and the CLS would have been a perfect addition. I might still get another one.

Don't think the CLS has 4MATIC (at least in the US) so that would be a big concern for me.
