E-Class AWD

When this option will be available in US, and is it only E-320,350 or E-500?
What about AWD E-500 vagon with sport package?
Thanks Alex

sl and M-class E320 4Matic SLK350
4-Matic (awd) will be available on both the 6 cylinder and 8 cylinder E Class sedans. It will also be available on the 6 cylinder E Class wagon. Beyond that is speculation as it is unknown when the 320 engine will be replaced by the 350 engine on the 6 cylinder. It is also unknown whether the E500 wagon will even be offered in the US. When the new E classs wagon was introduced at this year's Detroit Auto Show it was clearly made known that it would be available with 4-Matic from its inception.

As to when 4-Matic will become available on the E Class you will hear estimates from September to December depending upon which dealer you talk to. November seems to be the consensus and would parallel last November's introduction of 4-matic on the S-Class.

A new diesel E will come out some time during the 2004 calendar year as a 2005 model. Have not heard whether that variant will be offered with 4-matic though.
