Quick and stupid question

Is there anyway to stop the "DON'T FORGET THE FRAKING KEY!!!!!" chime, and or a way to program the head lamps to shut off with the engine? The one always overrides the other and I've left the lamps on occasionally. This is the first car I've had that you could leave the lamps on since my 97 Land Rover

You can set your lights to "Auto". That way you'll never have to turn them on or off. Nothing to remember... nothing to forget.

"Don't Forget Key" you're stuck with.

My lights go off no matter what setting they're on once the engine is shut down

Have you checked your setting options in the IC?

MY2009 and newer shut lamps off with key. My wifes new ML shuts off, my E does not. Really only an issue I had fogs on, otherwise knob is on auto.

You can go into the car setting on the instrument display and change the setting to to shut off headlights and etc from staying on constant for DRL.

You can stop the beeping with the up arrow on the steering wheel.

Thanks to you all, when I first got the sucker I read through the manual like a good little boy and remember spending the time to set the mood lighting just the way I wanted it but must have glazed over the 'lights on' setting. Needless to say that is now fixed. Thanks!
