Cool 2005 E500 Keyless Go FOB door unlock issues

My drivers door suddenly stopped unlocking automatically when I grab the drivers door handle with either fob in my pocket. The other 3 doors unlock fine and all other functions of the FOB work perfectly. Anything to try before I enjoy an out-of-warranty dealer visit? Thanks!

Gotta replace the transmitter inside the handle, which means a new handle. They can be had for about $150 online. Mine went too

Yep, had that happen in my CLK, every part has a transmit/receive thingy to track the keyfob. New handle. Also depending on the handle, S class costs $200 it has a touch censor. CLK had a button on the inside that got pressed when handle was pulled, that was $160.
