From searching around looks like mostly the CL/S and G have this feature. I also read the controls are on the stalk, so that tells me you would need a whole new stalk with the on/off controls as well as the wheel, which could end up costing a good chunk of coin.

I never understood the draw of the wooden wheels, they are FREEZING when it's cold out..

I'd spend the money on some really nice black leather driving gloves to keep warm.

...But they are absolutely georgeous to hold at after 10 minutes in the car. They feel so good in your hand, and you don't wear-in a shiny spot into the leather wheel geain at the top where you hold it when you have a wood trim piece there.

Interesting. Was not an option on our 07 E350. We checked every option box but the panoramic roof (worried about squeaks and rattles but sometimes wish I had gone for it) and the wood wheel (too hot (and cold) and worried about scratching). The heat would have been nice, although it sleeps in the garage at night so it's not that cold. Driven my parents' Lexus with the wood wheel and much prefer the leather, although it is very pretty.

one thing about a bad steering is that u can't keep it that way for long. it can potentially be a big threat.

I have the wooden steering wheel option and it is a real shame that for an option that cost almost $1,000 MB did not make it heated as that was apparently extra.
