I only have about 3k on it now. I'll keep you posted. If they get loud I won't get them again. Probably try the Pilot's. Had them on my E430 and put 20K on them before I traded and they never got loud.

I got the sport contacts and 10+k miles. No noise, no problems. Fine grip and nice quick peel off the line.

Probably the Pilot A/S. That is what I had before and loved them. However, they are real pricey!

I have the Michelin tires. I am not sure of the built date. It may be a little older because it has the promotional fold down rear seats. I took deliver June 22, 2003.

You know, I'd like to hear of just one E Class that didn't have the "promotional split folding seat"! I think it was just a way to jack up the price by $100.

Well, I'm glad there was the "promotional offer" for the 2003s since I need the folding rear seat and $100 is much less than the E4 package for 2004 (split folding rear & ski pass through & maybe folding passenger seat?)

I'm not sure what it is for 04 but if you go to autos.msn.com and price a 2003 E class it lists E4 as $550

2003 E500 Sport
Feb 03 Build; 4/6/03 Delivery.

I got the Conti SportContact 2 95W, which I believe means W rated. Pretty happy so far. I like them much better than the Goodyear Eagles my last car (Audi A6 w.7T) came with.

On the Launch Package, two dealers told me (in April) that it was pretty hard to find an E500 without it, and equally hard to find an E320 with it. Can't prove it by me, but when I was looking, every E500 on the lot I saw had it, and none of the E320's did.

I found the build date. The car was built April, 2003 and came with the Michelin "W" rated. I asked the sales person before I purchased what brand of tires were on the car. She said that she did not know since the tires were purchased in bulk by Mercedes-Benz.
