DIY:Wood Removal?

Anyone know where this thread is? I saw it long time ago but now I cannot find it. I need to remove my center console!

1. Apply E-Brake (my car just rolled forward so don't do the same)
2. Key in 2. position
3. Shifter in D
4. Use both hands and go underneath (Picture 1)
5. Pull shifter cover up and rotate for more working space (Picture 2)
6. Keep ash tray half closed (I use one hand and 3 fingers (Picture 3) and pull upward, keep closing lid more when you pull out otherwise it sticks to the CDC.

Hope it makes sense and I understood correctly what you meant.

Btw. i think the Bosch control unit in the last picture is the Airbag control unit. But not sure.

CDC = CD Changer.
Cup holder has a little nose inside towards the back, just push it or pull it (forgot) and you can take the whole cup holder unit out.

The 2 pieces are just clipped in. The noses are cheap plastic. Be really careful or they will break. I sold over 30 of those sets to people who broke those 2 plastic covers off.
