Sport AMG Package Badge

E350 Sport AMG appearance package...

To badge or not to badge? These would be side front fender area badges. I think it looks pretty elegant yet sharp. Thoughts?

Yes. I hear it gives you 10HP more. A racing stripe adds 15HP and a huge wing half the size of a 747s, adds 25HP. An AMG badge adds 100HP. Rock on.

ha ha, that was funny Vik...

i'm not trying to add a badge to represent something my car is not, that kind of thing makes me puke actually...just wondering if anyone knows if the sports edition badge is oem and if they liked the look or not. i have heard there are other oem badges for sport, avant garde, designo and that one for the R class (forgot which the name of it).
in fact, i just had a valet park my car and his comment was bad *** benz, AMG huh? ... and i had to correct him and tell him it was just the appearence package.

Yes the sport edition edition badge is OEM. My E500 is a sport model and came with the badge. I don't think people really notice it though or don't care.

This is not my car, but in this picture you can see it on the fender rubstrip.

I agree, I wouldn't put any badges that don't belong on the car. I've seen several cars with crooked numbers (changed the model) or misbadged (usually AMG) and I just go

I have the e500 sport and removed the e500 badging from the trunk.... I think the car looks cleaner without it.

Yes, your Sport badge is OEM, but is not the cheap, generic looking Sport badge in the link.
My previous E430 Sport had the same badge as yours in the trim, NOT glued to the fender.
As far as I know, there is no OEM Sport badge for the E350 Sport.
My pet peeve; Why do people call their E350 Sport an AMG? Wishfull thinking?
To me, a E350 Sport is not an AMG, it's a Sport.
An AMG is clearly designated as an E55/E63, etc.

I agree, what makes it an AMG is the handmade engine not the bodykit.

Agree about labeling your car something it is not, and if you read the post you will see the original question i asked has nothing to do with that - but hotrodder, you are 100% wrong in terms of the trim options on the E350s...For 2009, and I believe 2008, there is an E350 sport, and an E350 sport with the AMG appearence package. The cars look completely different due to all the AMG styling. It was an additonal option 'at cost'. Of course, without the engine and proper suspension and brake treatments, no, of course it is not an AMG tuned car - but as far as styling, almost identicle...

2007 E350 Sport
Srosenman - I went on eBay and found this E350 AMG Sport you speak of.
You're right, it looks like an E350 with a E55 bodykit.
Looks to be a '08-'09 only option. I did not know such a model existed.
I went on MBUSA build your own ('11) and didn't see the AMG Sport option listed.
I stand corrected. - Thanks -
