Dead Battery - can't get into trunk

So my car has been sitting most of the winter, and the battery went dead. However, I can't seem to get into the trunk using the blade key... so is there a place under the hood that I can use to power up the car to unlock the trunk via the key fob?

Common mistake. When you use te blade key, turn it counter clockwise, and try opening the trunk while STILL TURNING THE KEY. it will then open mechanically rather than electronicly

Just an update... blade key didn't work at all despite every which way I tried opening it. Found the positive terminal at the fuse box under the hood and applied some power and was able to pop the trunk with the remote. It's all good.

You mean you did read the manual and did learn how to open the trunk with the key? If you are still convinced that it does not open with the key, shouldn't you have the car fixed? Then all would be good.

Had the same situation today when the wife ignored the chime sound of headlights on. It took a couple of turns with a blade key to open the trunk.
