Some E class observations....

... I as prepare to order another E500 (i.e. NAV replacement)

* I went to check out a charchoal interior yesterday and turned out to be an E320. I noticed the leather seating surface (also perforated) wasn't as "soft and supple" as the leather in my car. Is there a difference in the leather grades for the cars? I know the 320 had E2 and maybe had the leather "inserts." I am just worried if the charchoal leather is "rougher" or was it a model (320 v 500) difference in feel.

* E500 headlights: I noticed on several 500's that the headlights all have the "projector" lens.. though most do NOT have the Bi-Xenons. Is this the way the halogen headlights come... or am I imagining things. I want to say the 320's have a "bulb" in the headlight instead of the "lens." Correct? Incorrect?

* Multicontour seats: It is MENTIONED in the manual that the Multicontour seats have a massage function.. but I thought it was only available for Drive Dynamic seats.

* Lastly.. I just wanted to get some opinions on 500 owners about the "responsiveness" of the tranny/engine in various "suspension modes." To me, I have done TONS of driving in Sport2 lately.. and it seems the engine/tranny is more responsive/accurate in Sport1 than in sport2. The shifts (even manually) are more precise it seems. Just wondering if anyone else has noticed anything.

Thanks guys
Peter

Leather inserts are standard on the E320, and full leather is an upgrade. I upgraded to full leather, and I'm extremely happy with the color and the quality!

Sorry, I can't help with the rest.

I think the bi-xenons are standard with sport package. Optional on non-sport 500.
