The standard lights are incandescent. It is a subtle upgrade as the LEDs illuminate only when the brakes are applied. The turn signals and standard tail lamps are the same as the standard unit.
These have a cluster of LED lamps in the top portion of the assembly. They do look slightly different when they are not turned on as you can see the cluster of LEDs through the lens.
They came on several models - not just AMG models. Not sure what "package" included them, but I would assume the Sport model and probably many E500s had them as well. A friend recently had a 2008 E350 that had them from the factory, with no Xenon, which was odd. But I think his had the Sport trim as he had white-face dials in the instrument cluster.

I did just purchase then, they come in Thursday I'll have pics up. I purchased them, but then decided that I liked the 07-09 ones better and purchased those as well... So I have two sets of led tail lights both coming in the mail this week.
If people are worried I can instal and take pics if necessary or whatever else will make the buyer more comfortable knowing they are purchasing fully functional tail lamps.

Guys, the 03-06 led tail lights are direct plug n play.. Keep in mind when you purchase these taillights or any taillights you are getting the curcuit board with it.

so i have the 07+ as well as the 03-06 coming in the mail this week... i only have one w211 so no need for both sets, that is the only reason i am selling.

after installing the 07-09 tail lights i was was not to pleased with the smoked center on my car. i think the 03-06 lights flowed better cause of the chrome. thats just me..[ATTACH][ATTACH]

smoked center?

I kinda like the 2007+ version though...might be willing to trade if anyone is interested.

still have mine...
installed mine e63 ones, they are plug and play, as well as a breeze to install. if you know righty tighty lefty loosey then you'll do just fine installing tail lights.
