They are oem tail lights, as far as I know they will just plug in, but you should double check. Checkout this pic... that is the connector circled in red

So the standard tail lights are incandescent, otherwise they look the exact same as the LED's mentioned in this thread, and to add these to an 06 with factory standard tail lights presently is plug and play and gives off a nicer light at night time then the normal ones?


I wish I could see the difference in a picture, as the picture above looks pretty much like my factory tail lights, but I guess the LED part is hard to notice unless lit up at night time.

There are very few of these cars (E55) where I live with the tail lights for me to see in person....or even the E63 for that matter to see what the E55 folks are upgrading to!
