Question AVS & Summer Setting

My owner's manual says something about the Active Ventilated seats remaining on all the time in the "summer setting". I can't figure out what they are talking about with this "summer setting". It would be nice to have them on all the time in the summer. Anyone know about this?

I wasn't aware that it stayed on all the time but the summer setting is the S/W setting for the transmission, I would assume.

H/e, it makes little since that this would be the case.

For some reason, even when you turn the A/C off, it is still 'on' in the economy mode so maybe the AVS has a stealth 'on' mode as well!

i think once the cooling feature is activated in the seats, at a minimum, the lowest setting will always stay on (until you turn it off or engine is stopped).
unlike the heating, automatically stops after so many mins.

sorry i didnt really pay attention to te other posts, im sick but anyway, summer setting is when your car is locked, you go up to the little black box on your driver handle, and hold the unlock button for 3 secs. this is where all the windows, and moonroof will open fully, and i believe your seats will turn on, hope this helps

That makes sense. I'll give it a try. Your signiture says "Mercedes Benz clear floormats". What's that?

Are they specifically cut to fit the E Class? They sound neat.

kind of, not really, they cut them out themselves, and i did a little trimming myself...so they do thier job, but i am sure custom ones are better
