This Mornings SIRIUS Channel Update
Not a W211 for me though.
What I'm sad about, is that when you read between the lines, in 10 years or a bit more, they are going to kill the Sirius signal and have XM only. I know our cars will be really old by then, but some of us might keep one around.
They try to deny it, but some have pointed to this in conference calls during financial conference calls/updates.
This is why at SiriuxXm site they *ONLY* sell XM radios now.
No more new Sirius subscribers except OEM car manufacturer radios.

It had switched to another channel but continued to display what I had from yesterday. I typed in the same number and got back to what I wanted, i.e. a channel that hadn't changed numbers (50s on 5).

Can anyone confirm that sine the update there are no longer any stations on the Latin/World section? I tried calling them but gave up after 20+ minutes on hold.
Caliente #150
Spanish CNN #148
Spanish ESPN #149
That's all that is listed. So I guess you should be getting those(?)
Except when I go to the Latin/World section I see none of those stations. I sometimes used to listen to Caliente in the evening when I wanted some mindless percussion that I don't understand... Maybe I can just dial in with the channel #... I'll try that.

About this transition: am I missing something here? What's the big commotion? I got into my car today (haven't used it for a few days) and turned on the Sat radio. All I did was spend 5 minutes redoing my presets to the new stations and it was done. What's this thing about hours of waiting for downloading?

Nothing seems different except the line up of course. They're even popping up notices showing the new station number. I was on some station ('LOFT' or something like that) and it showed "Grateful Dead station now on xx number".....
What I'd really like is for them to work on the quality of media delivery. Sat radio sounds horrible. HD FM radio is a lot better....
A whole bunch of my channels are just plain missing from the line-up. I can;t access Caliente and a few other channels that we there. I know the numbers have changed but the channels just aren't there any more in the menu structure. They probably need to reactivate or do something because my station list is screwed up.

Mine only took a few minutes, too. That's why I was puzzled when people were saying it took hours....
Bottom line is that they are aware of the issue, it's happening to several factory units since the update, and they expect to have a fix in the next day or two.
Another issue they are aware of is the radio resetting every time you start the vehicle, it will forever try to "Acquire Signal" and there will be no audio.
The fix for that is also on the way, but a workaround is to switch off again and remove the key, wait 20-30 seconds and restart.
Got another tech who had me completely shut off everything to do with Bluetooth, (iPhone, TEL on Command and including removing the puck), then he shut the service down, as if the radio was not activated, then he restarted.
All issues resolved.

Hope this helps.
