What did you do for your W211 today?

Someone started this thread on Xoutpost (BMW) and it has been wildly fun and successfull

I took off all tires and scrubbed them inside and out. Cleaned all the brake, suspension, and wheel wells. Scrubbed for over 2 hours just on that alone. I then put a tire dressing (not a greasy shiny one) all over the plastic parts. Looks amazing, like it just came off the assembly line . Then I treated the leather with Zymol Treat. Next up: clay bar, swirl remover, polish, and wax wax wax. About 7 hours to go.

This is also a thread on the Porsche forums.

I put a gun to my car's head and told it that if it ever let me down that I'll kill it.

Curbed my otherwise mint front rim.

Brutal of me. Completely my fault. Tried to squeeze past a car to turn right, hit the curb. These rims (18" sport '07 rims) are my favorite amongst all the cars and wheels I've owned. They're the 10-spoke ones with the machined front surface and painted sides and interior. I love the way they look. Just enough shine to look great and not too blingy/chrome looking. Now road rashed.

Sigh...

Let see, not today but.

2 weeks ago installed a facelifted trunk panel. 07 up to go alone with the facelifted 07 up LED taillights.
1 week ago removed snow tires and installed a new set of Michelin pilot sport A/S on the E55 wheels
3 days ago hit a path hole and killed one of the new tires

rotated and balanced tires. I was told this was not necessary on German cars. I had new tires put on 10 months ago and about 20k miles. Those people were wrong!!! very necessary to rotate. The one that doesn't is the X5. 26 month tires never rotated and perfectly even wear?????????

I spend over two hours on the wheels and inside fenders. Took each tire off and scrubbed inside and out. Cleaned all brake components suspension parts and finally the rubber/plastic wheel well covers. Then I put a little black magic on them. Once I had all the tires back on, it was amazing how black it was!!!! Looked almost as good as when she came off the assembly line. I really need to get another car so I can leave my W211 garaged.

I always do my own work but since I didn't have the tool to press in the lower balljoins I took it to my friends shop, I help it wasn't hard at all, I say about 6 in the 1 to 10 scale (with the correct tool).

Keep in mind that everything was replace with new parts exept for the upper control arms and tie rod ends, new parts bolt easier
