newbie question about 2008 e 350 Garage door opener
Hi
Just bought a 2008 E 350 4Matic.
I have tried everything to connect to my garage door opener and failed.
Not sure what to do at this point.
I have Geni Model PCG650 door opener with rolling codes.
Any Ideas?
Thanks,
Jim

Don't give up. There is a weired way to do it. It took me over half an hour to figure this out and I studied Computer Science. I'll try to dig up the link I used. Basically you have to try a hybrid approach where you follow the instructions on he manual but also use an existing remote control switch to program the car if I remember correctly...

I heard the document on the homelink site is easier and more clear than the MB manual. Look for it there and give it a shot.

Been a while since I did mine, I seem to recall that the instructions in the MB manual were better for my opener than the instructions in the Genie manual.
I believe that there's a part of the sequence that I had to repeat a third or fourth time to get it to work.

Definately go to the Homelink site. You will need to sync the remote first and then the actual overhead door operator with the sync button. Don't worry, it will work and then when you go to do it again in a few years you will have forgotten everything. This Homelink system has caused me the same grief on every car I have owned for several years now.
