Replacing SBC using STAR
Hello pros,
I have a DAS STAR C4, I'm trying to replace my SBC unit since I lost my warranty becuause of a crash.
I was told I'll need to deactivate it first then replace it and activate it.
Does anyone have a step by step instruction on how to do this using STAR. Basically, menu step by step.
Thanks a lot.

Why did you lose it because of a crash? Is your car salvage?
Anyways, you have to deactivate it, replace the pump, activate it, and then bleed it. You need a pressure bleeder ( such as a motive power bleeder ) and I suggest you get 2 to 3 liters of fluid to make sure all the air is out.
It's pretty straight foward although the beeding process can be kinda frustrating without having all four corners of the car up in the air.

Thanks for the reply. Yes the car was rebuilt.
Following your suggestion, do i need to activate it before before bleeding it? i heard is pretty dangerous.
Can you please explain more on how to bleed it. I have a lift to put the car in air.
Yes, you need to activate it before bleeding. The SDS will give you instructions on how to bleed. The lift will make your life easier.
