Mobil 1 or Mann oil filters?

If you had a choice, and they were both the same price, which oil filter would you choose for your W211?

Mann. Same one MBUSA sells in their package. About $10 online.

I can't think of any reason I would want a Mobil 1 Oil Filter. Mobil has good oil but I doubt they make any oil filters. I think that I can count on being 100% correct in saying they are made by some other company and who knows where. Go take a look some day at the Fram filters and others at Advance Auto, Autozone and compare to a Mann, Hengst, or Mahle Knecht filter and see the difference.

Mann is made in Germany and is the MB OEM supplier. Hengst and Mahle Knecht have made filters for MB for years and you can count on them to be the top quality that is needed for longer oil service intervals.

Never ever use anything with an American brand name on a German car.

100% of the time, it's a step down in quality.

Look in your OM. If your engine requires a fleece filter, then buy the oem mb or the fleece Mann.

Then, learn to use the search function on this site.

I would use the MANN Filter... If you would have to use the Mobil 1 then use it.. I doubt it would affect anything if installed and maitained correctly... Is the Mobil 1 fleece material? If it is it should also work well...
