E320 wants to stall??
Morning all. I have a 03 E320 RWD and just Saturday evening I came across an issue.
Sometimes intermittently when I'm coming to a stop the car will sputter out and struggle to maintain idle for about 10 seconds. It feels like i lost a few cylinders then it will become alive again.
I've done some searching around here and and the consensus is either vaccucm hose or EGR valve. Those two items seem pretty cheap. My question is would you mean the brake vaccuum hose or the vaccuum hose by the intake? Does anyone know where the proper hose is located?

My 03 E500 did the same thing but I lived with giving it a little gas while at a stop to keep it from stalling...until I could figure out exaxtly what it was. Was it the MAF or the FuelFilter (which is in the gas tank in your car) or even maybe Tranny contamination.
I was at the dealer for some parts and asked my technician about it and he said put in some Techron Concentrate Plus (do 2 treatments one after the other) an see what happens.
Well after the first treatment the problem went away 90% and after the 2nd treatment the problem went away altogether and has not returned.
Definitely cheaper than experimenting with repairs...Hope this helps.

Thanks for the reply I think I solved my problem! I simply gave the intake manifold a good push and found out it wasn't sitting properly on the intake runner haha. So I guess it was an air leak
