Rear shock 'leaking' on 2005 E500

E500 4MATIC Wagon
Rear shock 'leaking' on 2005 E500
Greetings,

Woke up this morning and there was a puddle beneath the driver's side, rear wheel. Smells/looks like a diff or gear type oil. Loss of rebound control is apparent when manually testing shock rebound - pushing down on bumper - compared to opposite side. Broken rear shock?
