Funny story...
Anyways.. at some point there's this "boy racer type" in a Chevy S10 pickup. It was dropped, loud as hades exhaust, etc.. and was pulled along side me but couldn't pass since someone was in front of him... I add some throttle and move up so he can make a lane change and pass. We does and then pulls along side me and seems to be toying with me. I pay little attention.. and keep driving along. At the next stop light.. he decides it's drag race time (LOL!!!). He pulls off like he stole something.. and I smirk... ok.. So I now I'm shifting at like 4000 or so.. and quickly make short work of him. After passing him.. I return to my leisurely drive... well, he wasn't done.. he comes barreling up.. and passes me and seems to be totally happy and laughing. Meanwhile blocking my left lane where I needed to go to turn to work.
He obviously doesn't follow cars.. and doesn't know the LOVE that is beneath my hood. I decide.. Ok, enough is enough. I pull the shifter towards me for the "optimum" torque gear.. and get after it. Well, I blew past him like he was in reverse.. and I began to see him disappear in my rearview mirror.... and then slowed down (from 110mph. WOW this v8 HAUL! ;-).. and entered my left lane to turn into work.
He finally caught up (I was at a stop light, reviewing my Palm's schedule for the day).. and he INCHES past me staring at my car.. in amazement...
Only if all Mondays started like this.. =)

PS: remind me to tell you guys about the time I ran into a Saleen Mustang =)
I'm amazed at the quiet, effortless torque provided by the stock 8 cylinder. I can only imagine what it's like to mash the pedal in the E55 AMG.
he was young so he learned
