Battery Visit workcenter
I have intermitently gotten a Visit Workcenter message, with a battery picture.
I assume the car will need either a battery or an alternator, but I'm oftern wrong. Until I can get to my mechanic, any thoughts?

If you don't have a multimeter, go buy one from radioshack.. They're pretty cheap. Probe both batteries for VDC. Should have around 12 for the trunk battery and I think 11 or so for the AUX battery under the hood. Anything less and you will get the error.

I had the same issue, dealer changed the battery in the trunk. Took the car home and in couple of days got the message again. Took it in again and they found the battery under the hood was bad. Mine was done under warranty so im not sure about the price. Good Luck

I got my aux battery under the hood replaced at the stealership. It was 260 or 280 dollars which is very pricey for a battery, a 'motor cycle' battery at that.
However, they did install it, and they did do a complete inspection of the vehicle, and they also updated the SBC brake software. I had problems with independent shops telling me something was wrong, and then another shop telling me the same parts were fine (motor mounts, ball joints, valve cover gaskets, rear diff, etc)...
So yes, I paid the cost, but at the same time it was worth it **this time** to get the real low down of what else was may be coming up soon, etc, without getting jerked around.

its the Aux battery in the hood. The main battery will not set off that warning. I purchased one at Sears for under $100. Replaced it and the warning has not been back. One year ago. I would have loved to have gotten a higher end battery because the original lasted from when the car was new 2003 to mid 2010. Not a bad run! Trunk battery still original though.
