How to replace low beam HID light?
After 2 years my left low beam went out. Went to Napa autoparts, was shocked at $119 price tag for D1S bulb!
Decided to take a look at the bulb assembly but can't take it out.
I looked at a number of tutorials out there, but none of them is made specifically for W211 and the actual bulb assembly looks different.
So, I removed the large plastic cap. I see a small round metal part with 2 wires attached - likely the bulb assembly. Then, according to all sources, I should be able to turn and take it out. But I can't get it to turn in either direction no matter how hard I try (plus, the location is not very convenient). It seems that other members had no problem twisting and taking the thing out. Am I missing something here?
