Disabling the fog lights while turning.

Hello guys. I am a new owner to a used 2007 e550 4matic. the fog lights come on as you are turning in a few different modes that the switch is in. I thought I saw a thread on disabling this feature, but I can't seam to find it. Any help?

P.S. I LOVE THIS CAR!!!!!!!

Phil

This is part of the active bi xenon light system that I also have in my car. I personally love this feature as it lights up curves and roads I turn into at night. So much so when I drive the Volvo I find my self squinting because I've gotten so used to seeing streets I turn into at night lit up so well without having to use the headlights. Any reason why you don't want/like this feature?

I like it, but I find it might be a distraction at times for on coming traffic. It looks strange when you are moving around a parking lot also. I would like it to be an "Optional" mode...

Other people just think you have a broken fog light.

I've noticed it on other brands recently (I think I saw it on an Acura MDX or something like that.)

For me it's only handy on rare occasions like turning into an unfamiliar driveway, etc..

I really like how it lights up the curb when you turn onto a street as I'm always on the lookout for curbs and potholes! Another part of this feature is that when you are trying to parallel park, it knows what side of the street that you are trying to park and turns on the fog light on that side of the street making it easier to see the curb.

You are right, it does seem from a distance that you have a broken fog light when you are turning! Those who know, know though and I have seen this feature in some other cars as well.

Also... which light turns on also depends on whether the car is in D or R at the time.

As I backed out of a driveway, one of the people waving goodbye bolted out the door, ran across the lawn after us, just to inform me "one of your foglights is burned out."
