Eibach Suspension and 19" rims, ride impact?
Hi Guys
I'm about to buy a set of 19" rims for my E240 w211 and lower the suspension a little. I'm worried about the impact that the ride will now have? Will it be too harsh? Any feedback would be great - thanks.

03 E500 and Corvette
I would worry also. If you keep same OD the sidewalls will be shorter/stiffer making much harsher ride. If you keep same aspect ratio tire OD will be larger and computer needed to reset speedo and turns will be with higher CG and poor handeling.

I vouch for these tires

Yes they are Chinese tires but they have very nice grip, have a forgiving sidewall for low profile tires ( I run 245/40/18 and have no issues going over potholes or manholes in NY/NJ) They also have a very nice resistance to hydro plane. My only complaint is they aren't as quiet as stock tires, but since these have an aggressive tread pattern I'm not surprised.
They can be had off ebay for pretty cheap.

The previous owner of my w211 e240 lowered the car by 2.5". Also riding on 245/35/19 and 275/30/19. Now this is too much.
The Eibachs will be fine - they only lower by 1.2" - not enough to scuff undercarriage and lip but just low enough to enhance aesthetic appeal and stance.
Im going to get the eibachs also and combine them with Koni FSDs - I've read great reviews regarding the combo of these two.
