As most of you know, you can manually turn COMAND on without a key in the ignition to listen to the stereo. It shuts off automatically after 30 minutes. My problem, as I posted last year, is that my COMAND turns on by itself, whether or not there's anyone in my 2005 E320. It then shuts off after 30 minutes. If I drive the car every day, it's not a problem, but if I go away for a few days, I return to find the battery dead. I recently replaced both the main and auxiliary battery, but it still happens. I have had both Mercedes and independent repair shops look at this, and no one can figure out what's causing this. Mercedes said because it was COMAND-related, it wasn't covered by my extended warranty. Nice.

If I could disable the COMAND from ever turning on without a key in the ignition, my hope is that the problem would be solved. If someone knows how to do this (or has any other suggestions), I would truly appreciate it.
