repalcing door lock knobs of e320

do the door knobs unscrew? I have turned them and they seem to just continue to spin? anything I am missing here? Thanks in advance, Marty

Yes, they are pretty long. Keep spinning - left loose, right tight.

Ya they just spin out. I removed mine, they are way to tall. When I put my arm out the window the knob sticks into my arm. annoying. they should make ones that sit flush with the door sill.
