No, it will be next Saturday! For us at least.

But the LEDs are no fog lamps but Euro DLR lights. The intelligent light system takes care of the fog lamp feature when the car has these LEDs.

The main xenons are adaptive in many dimensions. They can change from high beam to low beam gradually, they change the beam width etc.

W212 is already in EPC so you could look up the part numbers.

Mike,

Did you ever figure out if it was possible to change the w211 fog lights to the w212? I'm really interested in this as well.

You should understand, of course, that the LEDs on the W212 are NOT foglights but are instead daytime running lights, i.e. designed so your car can be more visible in daylight and NOT for any particular driver visibility effect.

eBay must by now be filled with chintzy solutions for this.

Plenty of kits floating around, but this falls into a failmod.

1. The user spent money on something that reduces functionality from stock.
2. The user spent money on something that is strictly cosmetic.

There are a few mods I feel fall into place.. lately the black painted tails have been a pet peeve too. If you have ever been rear ended before, you would never want to reduce the visibility / reaction time of the drivers behind you. I like the candy red jobs but deep smoke tinting your tails reduces safety and also gives police another thing to get you for, as its usually illegal as well.

"failmod" - good descriptive word. E.g. Carbon fibre is supposed to save weight. Adding an extra layer of fake carbon fibre decoration *adds* weight (not much, but still...). Pet peeve... ;-)

On the other hand, true freedom requires maximum tolerance. :-)
