Opening Windows with key unlock feature
Hello All,
I tried to open my windows using the unlock function on the key and did not work to well. I have to keep the remote pointed perfectly at the door handle and cannot be any further than 2 feet for it to work. The locking and unlocking feature works 60+ feet away. Does anyone else have this problem?

Mine works the same way. My last 3 MBs worked the same. I doubt it is a problem, rather it is the design...right or wrong.

this feature would be more useful if you didn't have to point the key to the door handle for it to work. and i might add, when you do get the windows to start rolling down, hold your breath and don't move a finger!! surely this feature could be improved. bmw worked it out.

mine is the same.. well i try it from farther than 2 ft or 3 it won't work.. at first there's something wrong so i ask my dealer and they say it's common and that's the way they build it. so i8 your car is allright.

unlock and lock from far distance, On BMW
remote will not close windows.PERIOD, only can close windows from outside by putting key in key hole and turning to lock
position and hold it there
