I have a 2003 e320, and when I set the cruise control usually the circular series of bars lights up around the speedo to indicate the speed set. With no other symptoms, the bars have become very faint now, cruise works as before, the rest of the display is fine, just the circle has become faint.

WTF?

 

No ideas? Everyone else's dash working perfectly?

Works perfectly fine. Ask dealership to use Star Diagnosis to run a display test. This will determine if pixels are gone bad or not.

 

My cruise is working great, but have blackout spots on the may display, ie numbers 5 on the clock, past 70 is dark and on the tac the last two numbers. Any suggestions. Have had the car for about a month. 2006 E320 CDI
