I would personally go with KLEEMANN because of their quality of business and because I think they have the best sounding exhaust on the market.

As far as between your two I would go with Remus. The exhaust system sounds good looks good and performs better than Brabus.

Hmm

I'll let you know how the Lorinser sounds and performs when I get the car, but you can't go wrong with the Brabus or Remus.AMG makes an excellent exhaust for the 55,look into that also, its so good I think renntech keeps it stock on the new e55(someone posted this in another thread).I believe the Brabus has a very nice throaty sound, and the Lorinser Im told also is low and throaty without being overdone.

Brabus is definitely better for a reason. The build quality is much better and the sound of any Brabus exhaust is quite different from others. It will not give you a very "loud" sound, but rather, a deep roaring sound. Remus quality is not as good as others like Brabus, Eisenmann or AMG.

But if you are looking for loud sound, Remus will be the choice. If you want deep subtle roaring sound, Brabus is the answer. Yes, AMG is not a bad choice either, but it will not be as loud as others.

REMUS, BRABUS and LORINSER Take all three of these mufflers side by side- the coating, welds, hangers, flanges, flares and even the clamps are identical. No one even bothers to change the FONT of the part number stickers or mounting instructions.

KLEEMANN ex system is designed for use with our rear spoiler, without the spoiler the extension of the tips is not correct. Our sound is of the "subtle roaring" nature. If its not loud enough for you, remove the resonator.

If you are caught up in the brand name game (Remus, Brabus, Kleeman, etc.) then spend the $2,000++ and get the "brand". They are all good exhaust solutions, just don't be fooled that they are any better just because they have a popular brand stamped on them and cost hundreds/thousands more. I've done exhaust on many cars before, and yes, some do require a very customized solution that must be specially fabricated, and therefore substantiate a premium. But in the case of the E500, it is absolutely one of the easiest fits/installs you will ever find. As for performance differences between brands, bottom line there is very little on this car/engine. In terms of quality, I went with Mangaflow, who by the way is the largest manufacturer of exhausts, AND produces/sells to many of the other brands who then just stamp there name on them and re-sell...

rims brabus.... exhaust brabus.... spend a little more on it, you wont regret it. brabus has a beautiful sound. remus sounds wierd, it sounds like a ticking noise when you accelerate.

Just personal taste, but I think for looks, Lorinser exhaust with matching rear bumper looks the best...
I went into the dealer few days ago and they had an E500 with full Lorinser Kit and exhaust.. and i revved it... wasn't loud.. but I wouldn't want a loud sound driving an E-class anyways..
I think the rear bumper + exhaust looks absolutely beautiful...
I'd love to buy it when I get my car delivered... but I'm also worried about the price.. heh

I'm bringing my car to Brabus (Irvine CA) tomorrow morning to get their exhaust.

Looking forward to my drive home tomorrow.

How much did you pay for your Carlsson 4-pipe exhaust? The Brabus is about 1k. Not sure how it looks with the stock bumper yet. I'm hoping I don't need to switch to the brabus bumper.

Where did you get your mods from?

AMG option

AMG E55 bumper $780
AMG E55 Mufflers $1008
Muffler Install $125
Paint $400

Maybe not the best prices, but that's what I paid.
