ESP unavailable error message

Since yesterday I have been getting the ESP unavailable message on the MFD. It just pops up after a half hour or so of driving. If I switch her off and then on again, it's gone...only to reappear after the afore mentioned time frame..anyone know what this new error on the gremlin dealer is?

Is it only ESP malfunction message? If there are others, it could be the simple brake light switch. If there is no ABS warning, it should not be a wheel sensor but more likely a yaw rate sensor, better to have codes read.
