Picked up a E350
Will be planning on modding it soon. So far Black roof, 8k HIDs, Debadged.
Anything I should be aware of maintenance wise?
Is that your car in the pic? If so I am pretty jealous on how sick it looks with German plates. Looks like a clean car. What are the details? Pano roof? 4matic? As for maintenance how many miles do you have on her? I don't think there are many things to look out for on this car

Yep, thats black vinyl, 55k on the dash...
Mine had 35k on the dash and picked it up for $28K.Do you mind snapping more pictures of the vinyl roof? Debating if I should just wrap it or just shell out double the cash and paint it right..
343,422 on the odometer (I was only owner, transmission slipping).

Don't do it. Bad idea. Will be a real pain to un-do it.

Tough call on that on that one.
While I'm not a fan of the vinyl roofs either and born in the 80's, I don't think worrying about older people thinking my 20XX Mercedes is a 60's throw back is a concern.
Also if you don't like it.. and probably never did it (well recently, maybe you did in the 60's), you probably have never removed it.. so where your experience coming from?
They use the vinyl wrapping currently for auto wraps in advertising.. it is all over, from giant buses, to peoples personal cars. They change the ads on big commercial buses every few weeks, the vinyl comes right off and leaves the exterior unscratched if done properly. Not sure what you are assuming, but in no way will you be sitting there for 8 weeks with 20 bottles of goo-gone picking off residue like a bumper sticker.
Before getting my black benz with pano roof. I desperately wanted an arctic white w211 with pano roof. I love the look idk why. But i was very picky. I have yet to see a e550 4matic, amg package, pano roof. p2 car in arctic white. Apperently the owners are so happy with them they never wanted to sell them....but i am straying off topic. forgive me

Somebody else said this was supposed to be getting you a panoramic sun-roof look. Got to be kidding, it looks like what it is, a vinyl roof, not a sun roof.
Finally, if it really is easy to remove when a person comes to their senses, great. It you paint it on, not to easy once you come your senses and want to get your car looking tasteful and handsome, again, like MB designed it, not going to easy or cheap.
You people are doing this guy no favors telling him that something this silly/ugly is good. What next, crushed velour on the roof? People, show some good taste!

I personally changed the wheels, put in a 12" sub, and plan on tinting and de-badging my car. If someone thinks that is a bad idea, then they don't have to do it to their car.
