Just Bought 2009 E550

I just picked up a CPO E550 from an area dealer but they 'lost' the manuals. In other words, there's noting in the glove box. No DVD for the navi, nothing Dealer has ordered a new manual and I've also asked for the COMAND manual.

So what was in your glove box? I've thinking there should also be a storage case for the manual. Comments appreciated, dave

I dont think the manuals even fit in the glove box.. the manuals come in a leather binder.. Sometimes people sell them on craigslist or ebay.. they return the car and forgot it.. I see them for $40-80 every so often. You can use allofcraigs or ebay to look for a manual set. You can also give your VIN to a few guys on the forum, and they can pdf you the manuals and some other goodies, like what came with the car from the factory, etc.

Feel free to ask any questions.. I had 10-11 questions when I first got mine that were answered very quickly on the forums.

Not sure how yours is, but my 2009 E320 has hard drive based nav - I don't think there is a disc that goes with it.

Also, you can grab the manuals and other good stuff here:

Thanks for the link. I've asked my dealer to order the manual, COMAND manual and storage case. We'll see if he comes through. Anything else I should know?

This car is miles beyond our '97 E420 which it replaced. dave

If your are is purchased CPO, They are REQUIRED to provide you with all the manuals and printed material the car came with when new per CPO check-list/standards.

Agreed. What's disappointing is that the CPO was done a couple of months ago and they waited until they sold the car to order the manuals and second key. Thankfully, I was able to download the manuals and load them on my iPad so I have the info. dave
