potxoli has a very good point. i too feel sometimes that i'm driving re-badged chrysler with a mb skin. the other day, i was parked on an inclined hill and opened the trunk. the trunk would not stay fully open. looked closer and it looks like a super yo-yo is connected to the trunk arms. OK...i open my hood about what...1 time every 1-2 months to refill the washer fluid..and it opens solid and stays solid. i use the trunk all the time and it feels like a piece of plastic and on a windy day...will blow away!

06 SL 500
After my experience with this E 500 I would consider going back to an Audi. I had 2 A6 2.7T's and they were great cars. The quality was better than my current E 500. I am considering the new A6 if the look is good.

If you people judge brands by the company that owns them, then in that case Mercedes-Benz is just a Chrysler! LOL.

2003 MB E500
I had an Audi 100 (now A6) years ago. It was a very good car, decent power and good fit and finish. I liked the car a lot. However, it had MANY electrical issues that cost a lot of cash over the years. Because of these problems, I did not buy another Audi.
So far my E500 has been trouble free. I know others on this Board have had issues but so far i have not. Sometimes it just depends on the car. There are bad apples in every bunch. Just MHO.

was '03 E320 - now - '04 S4
I was *this* close to getting an S4. My wife doesn't like Audis for some reason...
I'd certainly consider the new S4 - or if I come into some money the new RS6.

No, because it has no resale value in the United States. It's depreciation rate is only slightly less downsloped than Argentinian currency.

'Do you people even know that Audi, Bentley, and Bugatti are from the same family?'
Yes and the've intermarried so many times their offspring are genetically deficient!!!
But seriously - I never owned an Audi and had major problems with them all.
Is there a decent Audi forum where this thread belongs or do most Audi owners (as I suspect) not own computers and or have no internet access? Tough room!!
I just flew in from Dubai and boy are my arms tired ........
Ok, you want the truth - YOU CANT HANDLE THE TRUTH
the truth is the new Audi's are awesome looking and true examples of modern engineering. There was a time, maybe just in the US, that they had a major problem with the 5000 (my brother in law had one). Can't remember that far back but the resale basically dropped to $0. With that faint memory resting somewhere in my brain, I haven't taken the Audi very seriously since but I do like the new body styles and know that VW also make a good car.
Are we having fun yet .........

Secondly, I rather drive a car that looks "boring" rather than one that's been Bangled. LOL!
